Being an upright citizen hurts

Why do I say that? Well, because in a “knee jerk” reaction to a disgruntled customer hurling a starter thru our store window I semi-consciously reacted by heading out the door after the punk at best speed. Now being 60 years young and with bad knees that was no small feat. Then when the punk jumps into his car, and realizes i am after his plate number, he speedily backs out and continues in reverse through ours and an adjoining parking lot to keep me from seeing the plate. I continued on. He did have to stop when he got to the other exit due to a car being in the apron. When he stopped to turn around I got the plate.
Great! But at what cost you ask? Well my knees are gaffarked, stiff and swollen, as of the last couple of days since the incident. Faye Dean yells at me for doing it knowing that i am “disabled”, if you will. I did it as a reaction, not a calculated event. Punks SUCK! But now I will have to try and rehabilitate my knees because of the chase. Lots of chemicals and soaking and it may be be better , kinda showing good signs, but for now I hurts.
Would I do it again? Probably! Will I think before I act? Probably not! Duh! That’s really nothing new!

So in conclusion, I believe that I did the right thing and will probably do it again. But I will have Hell to pay for it! Between the knees swelling and Faye Dean sayin “your not as young as you think you are“. Like I need another reminder?! Really! I do so enjoy a hot soak, ibuprofen and liberal dose of the Captain Morgans Knee Elixir! Can’t seem to find the recommended dosage anywhere on the bottle so I, Dr. Bob, apply liberally!
